Pink, it's not even a question
February, 2019.
"Pink, it's not even a question" was the first iteration of this 'Pink' series and hails its name from the song Pink, by Aerosmith. The song describes Pink in many ways, but the true inspiration from the song comes from a line at the end of the chorus; "and I think everything is going to be alright no matter what we do tonight."
This piece was installed in an outdoor space at Claremont Graduate University as part of an exhibition titled Physical Presence; A Dialog with Residual and Surrounding Space, curated by Rachel Lachowicz, exploring the MFA program's history through its alumni in the context of installation. A site-specific installation made of over 600 sq. ft. of acrylic and house painted canvas, glitter, sequins, 200 sq. ft. of fabrics, pink party streamers, canvas and 200 feet of pink, glitter-painted rope.
